It's Festival Time!

Edinburgh is well known for 'The Festival' which people normally refer to either the International Festival or more commonly the Fringe Festival. What people don't realise is that there are many festivals that take place throughout the year in Edinburgh starting with the Science Festival in April.

This year however, there is a new festival in town and one that will definitely get tongues wagging and generating opinion. The Festival of Erotic Arts is in its inaugural year and includes club nights such as Torture Garden and Kink Bijou; lectures on subjects ranging from blogging to stripping in Scotland; burlesque performances and this fantastic art exhibition being held at the Whiterooms on Gayfield Square.

The art exhibition has a mixture of mediums from paintings, photography, sculpture to lightstands and this interesting piece which is a peep-show box beautifully lit inside to allow the viewer to see the art-work within.

I'm going to be covering much of the festival over the next two or three days so the challenge for me will be to find Blip friendly images that I can post - I would challenge you though, if you are in Edinburgh, to dip your toe into the world of erotica and see for yourself that it is a rich and fertile world of arts.
