Farewell Rome ...

Time to go home. After packing we spent a restful few hours around the hotel terrace before heading to the airport. Bit busy and crowded at Rome Ciampino airport!! We took off on runway 33 and as the a/c turned left to climb away we were rewarded with the whole of the city spread before us ... Wow!!! It was great to pick out the sights we had visited in the week. Top left of the picture shows the circular structure of the national football stadium whilst bottom right shows the Colosseum and Vatican City can be seen centre left. A smooth flight home with an 'eager to get to stand' pilot saw us back at Stansted! The honeymoon is over but married life is now to begin!!
