Closing up

Been going a few Saturday shifts at the Fossil Centre in recent weeks. Enjoyed chatting to this visitors and getting lots of great feedback about the displays and the cafe.

Today was my last day so lowering the flag when closing up felt significant. After 6 months of fluttering in an Orkney breeze the flag is looking a wee bit ragged around the edges , as are some of the staff... they are all in need of a well earned rest after working so hard to keep everything running smoothly, they do a great job.

Tomorrow is the last day of the season, I think we may well come along for lunch to keep us going over the winter.
