Flush with success

In an afternoon cleaning blitz C found the toilet was leaking...
Stopped the immediate leak and called plumber and awaited a reply from him. C's dad heard of crisis and drove through. Stage 1 empty and remove toilet from wall & floor - success.
Stage 2 remove sewer collar- success and problem A spotted. The seal had came loose and was trapping the flushed 'items'.
Stage 3 go to B&Q and buy new collar, seals and a love heart welcome mat (c wanted that - nothing to do with toilet).
Stage 4 fit new collar - success
Stage 5 fit water pipe back on - fail, plastic threads leading to pipe ruined in taking off.
Stage 6 Off to B&Q to get a new ball-cock system - success (new silent thing)
Stage 7 attach new system - leak alert, try again until success
Stage 8 attach toilet to floor and wall
Stage 9 clean & put things back into bathroom.
9pm flushed with success.
