Glasite hectoring

It was Doors Open today in Edinburgh and KryptoMart visited a couple of really interesting places, the Glasite Meeting House in Barony Street before going onto visit the Scottish Mineral and Lapidary Club in Maritime Lane, Leith.

The Glasites are a Christian sect founded in about 1730 in Scotland by John Glas. Glas's faith, as part of the First Great Awakening, was spread by his son-in-law Robert Sandeman into England and America, where the members were called Sandemanians.

The weather was beautiful today, better than any weather we seem to have had during summer.
