A Sunday Walk

An early morning call to ask if I would go in a little earlier than usual and do a couple of guided tours today. I was happy to oblige.

A light lunch followed by a walk up to the walled gardens for tea and cake. Guinness (cake) is good for you!

We walked through the Lumb Brook Millennium Green with its new picnic benches. Hopefully these ones will not be set on fire. Up past by my favourite view of a distant St Elphin's church spire framed by trees. And a host of beautiful wild flowers by the roadside.

Things were beginning to look autumnal in the gardens. There is a super crop of apples to be picked this week in time for Apple Day next Sunday.
