Open Doors

It's been Open Doors weekend in Edinburgh and we visited the observatory on Blackford Hill. It's an amazing site with loads of very interesting research projects happening. It's the first time we have visited, despite meaning to go for years and walking past the building quite regularly. They do a series of winter talks and viewings on a clear night, something I must finally get around to this year if I can still get myself up the hill!

Amazing to watch Lizzy Armistead on TV winning the World Championship Road Race last night, it was only a shame that so much sports coverage was given to England's loss in the rugby. The men's race is on now!
