making the most of a splendidly sunny september day we went into Little Langdale, exploring the smooth worn cobbles of Slaters Bridge, watching the minnows bask in the sunshine. Then up a little to find Cathedral Cavern, marvelling at it's vastness. No sign of any dwarves, but we did find our own little sleeping beauty. Time enough for a quick refreshment at The Three Shires then home for tea.
