Betsy
This isn't Betsy, this is my eldest on top of Blackford Hill around teatime today just after we'd been to The Royal Observatory for Doors Open Day. I really enjoyed it, some of the science was a bit over the top of the girls' heads but the chance to look at the sun through a telescope and see a solar flare aprroximately 300,000 miles wide was pretty awe-inspiring. To be honest, the guy could have told me owt and I'd have believed him but that's maybe not the point...and the star lab session with the constellations projected on the underside of the tent was very cool indeed.
And of course this observatory visit was after an early arvo cinema trip to see Bill, the Shakespeare-themed flick from the Horrible Histories team. Not hilarious, but certainly very amusing.
Right, so Betsy? Well, this is Betsy. Tune!
