Buddy

Met some dear friends for an afternoon of Rock 'n'  Roll.  I was 8 when Buddy Holly was killed in a plane crash in 1959 along with the Big Bopper and Ritchie Valens, but somehow their music survived them.  Credited with the very beginnings of what some at the time believed was inappropriate "white music", it became so popular and has stood the test of time.  The actors were great, from all over the country, most with many credits in their repertoire, the energy was electric and the air was frigid.  I don't know why they felt the air conditioning had to be set to freezing, but it was!  Most of the audience was white haired - Buddy would have been in his 80's if he were alive today.

Looking forward to the Lunar eclipse tonight.  I'm sure there will be some fantastic photos on Blip in the morning.
