Honey bee on lavender

I'm on a serious house tidying trip just now but broke off to visit the lavender as these other visitors were doing between showers. I have to break off again now to write a synopsis for another FT superyacht report. I also need to start studying the Olympic sailing teams ahead of a writing job at the end of next month. Have no idea when I'll be able to get on with the book-writing again. That August 1 deadline is looking a bit tough now. I forgot to mention that our tickets came the other day for the Olympic 100 metres final - yes we were lucky in the ballot, so there's that to look forward to.

In the longer term I'm looking forward to taking up bee-keeping in a few years time. It's something I've been saving for the gentler years. I reckon they should start somewhere between 60 and 70. But for now I'm happy just to watch the bees doing their stuff. Bees on lavender - one of the great sights of summer... well it is for me.
