Moon Over St Mawes

For some inexplicable reason the fact that it was likely to be a cold night after such a warm day seemed to have escaped me today.

Clare, Sam and I worked today, Joshua finished his DoE trek and arrived home around 1500.

After finishing work I rushed home, changed, put some beer in a cold bag and along with Sam and Josh headed off to Custom House Quay to catch a boat, courtesy of Work.

We cruised the Carrick Roads up as far as St Just-in-the-Roseland before turning for St Mawes. The run into St Mawes was interrupted by the Coastguard asking our skipper to take a drifting boat in tow. In doing so he/we probably prevented the Lifeboat being called out.

Ashore in St Mawes we had a drink and a game of pool before re-boarding the boat for the cold and windy trip back to Falmouth.

Clare collected us from the quay a lot colder than when we left.
