Sloe gin

Well, the sloes are picked!  And my goodness, wasn't it a beautiful day to pick them.  I'm told you should wait for the first frost to sweeten the fruit, but I know me, I'd miss them altogether if I did that. 

The forager is my daughter taking a break from being hard at work on the computer.  Hence the grin.  Of course we got the giggles and of course we came home with too many sloes!  There are some ambitions for jam or jelly, hopefully never to be fulfilled..

I saw a headline today which said this part of the world would have brilliant sun for the next two weeks.  That would be nice!
