San Miniato al Monte

This is a smaller, older church, located outside of the city centre on the first slopes of the hills surrounding Florence. It's a beautiful, serene little church, it provides great sights over the city and is not as busy as most places in Florence.

Behind the church, there is a quite remarkable cemetery... or maybe 'necropolis' would be a better term, it's actually a small city in itself with streets lined with countless family tombs, and the remaining spots filled up with 'normal' tombstones (giant crosses, angels and the like).
