Our Shadow
After saying I'd never get up at 2am to see the eclipse, we ended up setting the alarm, watching for a while, and then resetting, then getting up again, by which time I could no longer see it from our bedroom window, and wasn't keen enough to get dressed and go outside. Sent four of the photos to Deb, who put them together on her iPhone, sent them back, and here is my record of an event not to be repeated for another 18 years.
In case you haven't already, do have a look at Graham Colling's "Blood Moon" - an utterly superb capture of this - our world's shadow falling where we could see it for a few minutes.
Feel rather awed at such a huge phenomenon happening so silently, in the night, as most folk slept unaware.
Like so much else in life...
