Yellow Buckeye.....
.....well, this is a LEAFLET from the yellow buckeye tree! I picked a few of them up off the sidewalk as we left the restaurant on Sunday morning, as I loved the color, the textures, & the curled up edges-- like old parchment! The leaves usually turn a brilliant yellow in the fall, but many of the trees here are losing their leaves without any color change. It's probably because the month of September has been very warm this year, & it takes a good cold snap to make the trees turn to their brilliant colors. Maybe if the cold holds off a bit, we'll have beautiful color well into the end of October or beginning of November. That would be wonderful!! :))
