Higher Ferry
This afternoon after a morning in Brixham we headed off to Dartmouth. We parked in Kingswear and took the passenger ferry across ( aren't I brave!?) Dartmouth was very beautiful in the still stunning blue sky and sunshine and we had a good wander around. The park has a lovely bandstand and I was interested to read about Cpl Veale from Dartmouth who got the VC for a rescue of Sir Eric Savill of Savill Garden fame. Been to Savill Gardens many times but never knew the history of the name or the person.
This is the higher car ferry, as opposed to the lower ferry ( which you would never ever have got me on!) or the passenger ferry - which was actually quite a pleasant journey.
Today would have been my 1000's blip in a row but I have recently had 7 gaps. I did consider changing the date on my camera and taking random EB's, but I decided I was only cheating my self. These missed days are still part of the journey, and just reflect a busy week or too where brass banding took over, and blip took a back seat for a week or two.
I just hope in 7 days when I get to the 1000 that it is another gloriously sunny day!
