Caterpillar mystery

Found this chunky caterpillar in among the dead leaves in my strawberry patch. Butterfly expert friends of mine think it might be the larvae of the Yellow-tailed moth. But checking on the internet, I'm not so sure, as the orange markings don't look quite the same, so any ID suggestions would be gratefully received.
