Au Claire de Lune
Had to go to a meeting in town tonight, and couldn’t wait to get home as there was a magnificent moon and a relatively clear sky.
I failed taking any decent shots with my Canon SLR, so used my Nikon Powershot, flicked it to manual and snapped away, just before the clouds came over. Yeah! I managed to get one reasonably clear shot, you can even see some craters, (bearing in mind it is 384,400 kilometres away)! Just imagine what type of image a good photographer with a decent camera could have taken!
Evidently, impact crater sizes on the lunar surface range from tiny holes, that mark the lunar rocks to the very big ones that can have a diameter of a couple of thousand kilometres.
