Foglights on!

Leaving Changi airport in SIngapore this morning, in what should by the clock have been broad daylight.

The whole region is affected at the moment by "the haze", caused by forest fires in Indonesia. It happens around this time most years, but seems to be particularly bad this year; on Thursday, the Singapore government spontaneously declared a public holiday as they reckoned the pollution level was too high for people to go out. 

Our flight made it to Kuching ok, but the airport has been closed intermittently since then, so it's by no means certain I'll get out tomorrow...
