Passion fruit

This is the fruit from my passion flower, which is edible according to Monty Don (for those outside the UK, the presenter of BBC 'Gardener's World - a weekly TV programme, ). However it is rather tasteless and not worth the effort he says. I must admit that I wasn't tempted to try it! The fruits do look very attractive hanging on the climber, especially alongside some of the flowers that are still at their best during our lovely spell of late summer weather.
