Chilli pepper!

I'm not competitive, but the appearance of these little chillies was very encouraging today. This is because this plant has the potential to enter the village horticultural show in September. All members of the Garden Club were offered one, and the best grown will win the competition.
In previous years, my plug for this competition has not done well, but this is the first time we've had chillies.
So this afternoon I read up chillie peppers in Jamie Oliver's book "Jamie at Home". Don't keep them too wet, he advises, and grow them under glass in pots.
I gave my plant its first feed of tomato food ! This is getting serious!
