New Old Lens

This is a new purchase from eBay. An old school 135mm f:3.5 Minolta lens. It was only a tenner and a bit of fun. It kind of dwarves my little NEX somewhat.
I would totally recommend using manual lenses. There is something quite pleasing, almost cathartic, about using them. Forgoing any of this digital trickery, auto focus, etc. Moving all the dials by hand.

I figured I would go out and grab some pics with it. Maybe I can finally take a 'bird-shot' seeing as I seem to be the only one on blip without one. So went out for a wander, found something interesting turned on the camera clicked to take the photo and... nothing happened. Try again. Nope. What's that blinking in the corner?

NO CARD

This happens to me far too often. My card is sitting all smug in my iMac at home.

Probably laughing to itself if it could.

I also always manage to turn on some obscure setting on my camera and forget to turn it off, then wonder why all my pictures look weird. I honestly took all my photos for my Honeymoon in Hong Kong in Macro mode, and came home to a pile of slightly out of focus noisy pics.

That one shot of the flower at the start was good though.
