Season of mists .....

..... and it certainly was when I went out this morning.  

The spiders had been busy during the night and hedges and gates were all decorated with lacy webs .... some in rather a poor state of repair.  The best ones for photographing were on the gates.  I've cropped this image quite a bit .... portrait images are so large on blip.

I went into town to meet my sister and niece for a bit nourishment and retail therapy.  Gradually the clouds disappeared, the sun appeared and the temperature rose ...... why did I put on that extra layer this morning?
