Fly Agarics growing along the field boundary
Growing under a small oak tree - these one clearly haven't read the guide book! There are three in this patch at the moment and behind them is a very large and rather holey red Russula which might be `The Sickener' (there are several of these growing too.
A lovely walk on a beautiful afternoon with clear blue skies. Interesting patterns of straw bales in the top field, which were worth a few photos. Not much happening on the fungi front in Millmoor plantation. Mainly a dirty brown coloured fungi with large and interesting gills. I've seen these in quite a few places around the wood, but don't know what they are. Oh and I spotted the biggest Bolete that I've seen so far - in fact I thought it was a rotting log it was so big. A pity I didn't spot it when it was still in its prime.
Tai Chi this morning - which felt really good, and camera club this evening (my first this month). Ann's doing OK, but still tired and suffering from all the different combinations of drugs she's taking to combat the effects of the chemo. Just one more dose of chemo to come in October before her op in November. We're hoping to have a few days away in-between.
