A City Of Two Tails
Huh?
Breathing test was excelente! Would you believe my chest x-ray from a few weeks ago was still a little foggy from the pneumonia last June? Jimminy-crickets! Oh, well. Just one more month and the pollen should vamoose. Follow-up (and hopefully, final) x-ray this week.
We could break heat records today and tomorrow, 102º-3º/39º, respectively. Not the kind of records I like to hear this time of year. Then a gradual cool down to more seasonal temperatures, below 90º/32º. I'm certainly looking forward to it. Can't wait until I can open my windows at night, too. The house hasn't cooled down enough for the a/c to kick off yet at night.
The clear skies we've had will help the daytime heat to escape, thus lowering the ground/earth temperature, which holds the built up heat from the sun. (Clouds act as a blanket and hold in the heat, usually making for uncomfortable sleep.) The clear skies will let all that ground heat escape. Clear night skies make for beautiful, clear, crisp, early mornings on the patio.
That was your desert weather science lesson for today. Quiz tomorrow! :-)
Hope you had a wonderful day! x
