Hoverfly

On the Michaelmas daisies,
Another wonderful day and a lovely sunset tonight.
Today a friend who was born and brought up here , took me to David's Fort. I have (in the past ) looked for it myself but never found it. We took walking poles and wore wellingtons , and thank goodness we did as it was quite a scramble to get there . The people clearing the trees have left such a mess.
We did notice a well on a concrete slab  nearby and I wondered if it had anything to do with the railway line. I shall need to investigate further.
My extra is an open and a shut peacock butterfly.
