Anyone Fancy a Dip?

I just couldn't resist the lovely weather even though I've got a heap of ironing and housework that needs doing.......it will all still be there when the weather changes!!
I took myself off for a nice walk along the river, there were lots of dragonflies on the wing, a Little Egret, a young Heron being taught how to fish and this slippery customer lurking in the reeds in the water. I believe it's a Grass Snake but it was very at home in the water and as it swam upstream I tried to keep up with to get some more shots but it was way quicker than me and disappeared into the distance.......it was lovely to see so much activity in a relatively short stretch of water :-))
