Talking Turkey

"Wha'd'ya mean ya can't remember where you left the car? We need to be well away from here before Thanksgiving!"

Bumped into these three ambling round the car park off Main Street in Falmouth this morning as if they hadn't a care in the world.

The threatened storm arrived overnight but we managed some last minute retail therapy between the showers this morning (and a lunch of seafood chowder with cornbread) before the worst of the storm hit this afternoon and we battened down the hatches in our hotel room and watched our sea view get nearer and the roads flood.

It's quiet again tonight and there seems to be a lull tomorrow before the hurricane hits this coast over the weekend, so hopefully our flight tomorrow evening won't be affected.
