Purakanui

The weather forecast for today was not great but apart from a shower this afternoon it has been fine. 
I did rise again to capture the sunrise but it was the same view as yesterday so haven't blipped it again :-)
Instead I have blipped Purakanui Falls - not the first time I have done so and it won't be the last either I suspect :-). After trotting down to take this shot I then headed off to Papatowai for a walk along the Old Coach road. This is a lovey 40 minute bush walk alongside the inlet. I saw lots of birds. Got crap shots of a bellbird and then when walking back i spotted a robin. took a photo of it and then waited for it to face me - alas it did not but my patience was rewarded with another visitor - a tom-tit which did pose beautifully for me (also in the extras) 
This afternoon I headed down the 100m or so down the hill for a walk along the beach - nearly feel over one sealion  and watched with fascination as a second headed down to the sea. Alas hadn't taken the camera down grrrrr
