Here we are again!

Back in the land of double decker trains and free wifi in public places. A long but uneventful day of travelling, leaving home at 2am and arriving on the kibbutz about 14hrs later. Home from home, it takes no time to settle in.

This is the spacious, air conditioned and on time train we caught from Tel Aviv to Ashkelon. It cost about £4.50 for a ticket. It's about the same length of journey as Westbury to Bath, which costs about twice as much and will be on a packed, single deck train usually consisting of two carriages. Even on a match day ( Bath rugby ) Saturday, when you're lucky if you can get on your first train of choice they will only put on two carriages. Madness.

Anyway, back at the ranch - our boiler packed up last night and we've had to leave it to the house sitters to sort out. Oh, and the fish tank filter pump started making a weird noise 10 mins before we left the house!
