Japanese beauty
Something I photograph every year - and Blipped last year - is this superb arisaema. I used to have loads of species but mostly they've gradually disappeared - this one is the exception.
Arisaema yamatense subsp. sugimotoi is from Japan and is a tall, sturdy plant growing from a large tuber. Funnily enough, when I Googled it a moment ago, the picture that came up under this name is quite different - more research required. Whatever it is, it's a fine plant and well worth growing.
My extra picture today was taken as I came down through the garden this morning - quite a heavy mist which took a long time to disperse.
