Henge of Wood.
First discovered from the air by the RAF in 1925, Woodhenge, just two miles from its big brother Stonehenge. Dates back to 2300BC. Perhaps it was a mini Stones replica with stakes.
Stakes have long gone of course, now replaced with concrete stools. All the stuff dug up there in the late `30`s was sent to London. All went up with a big bang following a direct hit during the Blitz. Pity, but these do happen sometimes.
Right next to the A345, and its free to wander round.
