Friday frolics

Today I spent a large part of the afternoon at the Botanical Gardens, enjoying a calming walk and then buying some delicious goodies at the farmers' market. I was going to post a photo of flowers, but after this little chap was so good as to pose for me, how could I not post his portrait?

Also heard, but did not see, the amusingly named Pobblebonk frog. And discovered that these lizards enjoy swimming. Of course, I also looked at the plants. 

Then went to Black Mountain Peninsula for the first time in many years and looked at the lake. Lovely day for it :)

Later spent an hour or so in the kitchen making maamoul - my first attempt. Not sure that I'll go to all that trouble again :)
