Flower Friday: lavender and poppies

Been out for a quick walk before work, not much in the way of wild flowers.
Back at the postage stamp (front garden) I looked and spotted some lavender hanging on and the poppy seed heads from the wee orange ones. Decided to snip these and play, was too windy to leave them outside to do it. The Ribbon is for Breast Cancer Awareness Month :)
My extra is a silk rose hubby bought me once in a pub in front of all his mates, just as we'd started courting. Took this pic at about 1am... didn't want to go to bed, but slept when I did. Head is still buzzing, but might be starting to fizzle out a bit now.
