Travelling to Newcastle, taking J's luggage to Uni (he having left by train on Saturday). Other than it being a mind-numbing 5 hours on motorways frequented by many of the mind-absent, it was a pretty good run overall.
We looked for a place to have a decent break about half way up and found the Yorkshire Sculpture Park. Not heard of this before and it was rather a good find. We spent nigh on a couple of hours here wandering the grounds. Must say the sculptures ranged from the impressive, through the humorous and weird, to the lets-weld-two-steel-plates-together-and-call-it-art.
I rather liked this one but omitted to note who it was by and what it was called.

Explored rather more of Newcastle city centre than planned but eventually found our B&B. Our host was very friendly and helpful, and the room clean and comfortable; but, having stayed at a couple of other B&B's recently, I am more comfortable than ever that we offer impressive value for money at the Dell House.
