Beating

First day of the season on the local shoot. A wonderful start with clear blue skies and too warm to be in shooting garbs.  A phone image today as we wait for a drive to begin. 

The keeper has put down plenty of partridge this year and there are two brace in the kitchen, one of which will be dinner, if I get my act together. I came off nights and had no sleep before going out so am sorely tempted to go and have a snooze and an omelette instead.  Yawn... the partridge can wait for tomorrow.
