The Theory of Change

Charles Darwin is best known for his work as a naturalist, developing a theory of evolution to explain biological change.


He was born in Shrewsbury in February 1809;  I wonder what he would have been eating then and if he returned to the future what he would think of the cafe named after him, in the town where he was born and which now serves crepes, take-away sandwiches, paninis etc ........  A sandwich evolution!!


I have been in Shrewsbury today, mainly for a trip to an emergency dentist;  Veronica was lovely and has done a miracle cure to one of my teeth which causes me great pain from time to time and has done so for the past few days. She says the miracle she performed won't last forever and the future prognosis for it is not good - still, I'm pain free for the moment.  Bit of retail therapy after that and a chance meeting of not one, not two, but three friends so tea breaks, coffee breaks and lots and lots of conversation!
