A lovely day when I caught up with childhood friend Emma Mason (nee Bolton) and husband Richard who are exhibiting their British Printmakers prints at the Cambridge Art Fair for the next few days.   Our connection goes back a long way and it was brilliant to catch up with family news.  (Extra photo).

Later I heard that amazing news that mosaic artist and Norfolk friend Carolyn Ash's fantastic GoGo dragon (Norwich people will know what I'm talking about), sold at the charity auction today for £25,000!!!  I'm really hoping that Carolyn and family, who have suffered great financial hardship over the years will now begin to see some actual rewards for her considerable talents in the shape of some lucrative commissions. Fingers crossed.

But the blip had to be my James and his lovely Laura, who are going to have to cope with some big changes in the coming weeks and months, when he moves to University.  We've all spent the evening together at the local Indian restaurant - but will off early tomorrow morning on the long drive to Durham.
