Painted Lady Butterfly

A month or so ago we were sent some caterpillars. The idea is to grow them into butterflies so that the kids can see them grow and change. And it was a huge success. Everyone in the family enjoyed seeing how much they changed each day and eventually it came time to release them. Before we did I took some pictures. Here's one of them. It's not high art. This was shot through the mesh of a butterfly net. But it gives some amazing detail that you couldn't see with the naked eye.
