Filaments.

I waved work today in favour of a days picking up with the girls. Cover was dense and the scenting was poor, but mostly we managed to account for almost all the birds. Each of the girls had their moments to shine, but I was well pleased with Willow who is the eldest and had had the leg surgery earlier in the year.
It was very warm and the early finish was welcome. At home with the dogs dried fed and bedded down, I managed to cut some grass and pick another wheelbarrow full of apples before dusk.
I was tipped off by Mrs A S about the above seed heads, came  in handy today as I had not taken any other shots.
