Seaside trip

Another hot day proposed, so a dip in the pool to start with after a slightly restless night and being awake since 6:30 (it was hot and wanted to rest on the patio on the cool). Doesn't get light until 7:30am round here.

Decided to walk to the beach - you know that "mad dogs and Englishman" saying, well that's us. Top photo is the resort beach - playa blanca, about 20 minute walk from the villa (slightly downhill). Had a lovely lunch in one if the eateries on the seafront before doing a bit of shopping - most shops sell the same stuff, I was after a mug as the one in the villa isn't big enough for me, and I also needed a key ring for someone. Shopping done, and mouched around the area - beautiful bougainvillea, and hubby on a stroll to see what's ahead. Gentle walk back to the villa, collecting an obligatory ice cream on the way.

Dip in the pool to cool off, before laying in the sun to soak up the rays. Getting into my book now ........
