Plane trees

The street where I live is lined with these huge plane trees. Unfortunately there are also power lines through them so the linesmen give them a severe pruning most years to save them creating problems and fires with the lines. A few months ago the gum trees came down in a storm and we were without electricity for awhile. The planes were fine.
Daylight saving came in last night so this was taken after tea at 7pm, I like the way the light is shining on the branches. Soon they will be covered with leaves.
The NRL football grand final is on this evening. As I said yesterday I don't know much about it but am picking the Cowboys. Yesterday and last night I picked the winners of the AFL and rugby so we'll see how I go .....ill probably fall asleep and wake to see who the winner is.
Another nice warm day in the garden.i am fertilising and aerating the lawn with a fork so it is taking time.
