Penarth Marina

The marina was originally part of Penarth Docks which finally closed in 1963 and parts of it were earmarked to be filled with household refuse. The remainder was to be redeveloped for housing and a marina for leisure boats.  A new yacht lock was built at the entrance to the marina in 1986 and it was officially opened in 1987. It has its own boatyard and over 300 berths for yachts and small boats
