Bake Off day

At work we have had a sweep for the Great British Bake Off. £5 in and the winner take's all. You also have to bake something from your person repertoire once they go out. I had Paul who made it to the quarterfinals to my surprise. I didn't mange to cook anything last weekend after my adventures so today was bake off day.
Potato and leek soup cooked followed by lasagna to keep the freezer full of food for the week ahead, then onto macaroons and éclairs. Plan was to do an éclair nun with a gingerbread lid and fill the inside with macaroons. Here is the result. Second attempt at macaroons and they still didn't work. Éclairs are small and a bit over cooked so will have to rethink the nun. Tomorrow will be construction night so a bit more thinking tonight. Might have to be a gingerbread box for the macaroons and éclairs around the outside.

Not looking forward to work tomorrow as England lost. Don't think I'll hear anything about it thought!!!!
