I found these words on one of the many Breast Cancer Awareness websites.  They may not be the finest literary work ever written but I like the sentiment behind them, which could apply to both the cancer patient and their family and friends alike - and indeed to any of us, whatever is happening in our lives.


As this is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, any of my blipfotos in October which feature the colour pink will be tagged as such to make people aware of breast cancer, and to help get readers clicking on this link so that those who are unable to pay for a mammogram around the world can have one free.  I consider myself extremely fortunate to live in the UK, where I have already been routinely screened for breast cancer free of charge twice since I turned 50, but not all women around the globe are lucky enough to have a national health service which is free at the point of use.
