Highgate Cemetery, London

I had a really wonderful day at the atmospheric, Victorian, Highgate cemetery, today.
It is one of the earliest 'garden cemeteries' in England and the gravestones, catacombs and monuments are spectacular! The pathways wind around the hill and the trees and ivy which have grown up make this place magically charming!
Many famous people are buried here. But I just enjoyed the architecture and sculpture in the dappled sunlight. A truly special day for me!
