Musee Picasso, Antibes
Before I left to go on my trip, a colleague told me that I had to stop into the Musee Picasso in Antibes -- even if I only had 30 minutes. As it turns out, I only had 30 minutes, but I did take her advice and I am so glad I did. What an incredible place. I strongly recommend anyone visiting this part of France make a stop at this museum.
The Château Grimaldi at Antibes is built upon the foundations of the ancient Greek town of Antipolis. In 1608 it became a stronghold of the Grimaldi family and has borne their name ever since. In 1946 it was the home for six months of the artist Pablo Picasso. Today, it is home to the Picasso Museum.
This picture was taken on my way up to the museum, but the museum definitely has a similar look.
