Angel of the North

On our way home this morning stopped off to see the Angel of the North at Gateshead.

We have passed it many times on the A1 but never stopped before. It is quite spectacular close up, being 66ft tall with a 177ft wing span, and apparently the largest outdoor sculpture in the UK
