Bullfinch

Out checking areas for flooding this morning. Most of the water has subsided, but along one of the river banks there was evidence of where it had overflowed the footpath. One or two of the villages were not so lucky after yesterdays deluge. Today it is cold, cloudy and breezy. Not typical end of June weather, although maybe it is now! The dark silhouette of this male bullfinch seemed to sum up the day really.
